New Year and New GOALS!

Image
Hi Everyone!  It is Friday February 4th, midnight actually, and I am trying to catch up my blog. I am still working on hats, especially since the weather here in Indiana has been all over the place, and currently we have cold temperatures and some snow on the ground. I purchased more yarn, and also 80 gallon size ziploc bags, with the hopes of filling those bags with much needed hats! There are 40 hats in this basket currently and I am busy filling the other 40.  Bless you and please everyone stay safe.

So, for my New Years goal, I said that I would fill this teal basket with hats for the patients at the hospital. Well, I filled 2 baskets! There are 50 hats in each basket and I intend to give 50 to Union hospital and 50 hats to Regional Hospital! Thank you to everyone for your support and I love you all very much! Bless you and keep you safe!

Things have been busy, as they often are, around this time of year. I had made the decision to take a break, but, it did not turn out that way.  I can not, NOT, stop working. As long as my fingers and hands will allow me to do the work, then I must continue. One day I may not be able to see that stitch, or see the colors very clearly. I am having sight problems. But until that time I will not stop, I will not surrender. I will do all that I can for those that I can help. God bless you all.

50 year old blanket will be finished in time for Christmas.

I am honestly taking a little break, but this fell into my lap. It was started 50 yrs ago and I am completing it and giving it to the lady for Christmas. When I got it, none of the ends were tied in, and some pieces were needing to be completed... I should have it done in time for her gift!

It was 2 weeks ago that I dropped off some blankets for the school kids, and now, I have just finished the sets for the kids and will be dropping them off come the morning.  30 sets of hats, scarves and gloves. I also made 6 extra hats and paired them with gloves. Now, I am going to take a break for a little bit.

So, I have sent 30 hats to Union Hospital for the cancer patients and now I am working on hat and scarves for the students at the Elementary School near me.  I currently have 21 sets complete and I think I have 5 spare hats.

Stitch Pray & Crochet 4 Cancer The beginning I started on May 19th of 2019 as way to remember my father, a WWII veteran, who had skin cancer. May 19th was his birthday, and for my mother who had breast cancer. So many people in our lives are touched by cancer, out parents, our children, siblings. It is not just one person who feels its affects, it is everyone around them. You can see it on their face, in their sigh, or in the unspoken words that fail to capture the pain that they feel. This Charity, is a way to give hope and warmth to those who need it, to show that someone understands and loves you. I have been there, with my parents, I know how you feel. It is hard to keep your head up, to go on when you feel like the earth is opening up and swallowing you whole. But YOU ARE NOT ALONE! There are thousands of other people out there going through the same thing you are. Others have already been through it. It is NOT something that you can or should go through alone! One blanke...
